Initially intended for returning soldiers after World War I, its houses, formerly ornamented with bungalows fashioned from vehicle packing crates, have evolved into opulent mansions that exemplify exclusivity and status.

Distance from key points (Airport/CBD)

Residing in the area offers the convenience of proximity to Bantry Bay and Camps Bay, making it easy to access a variety of amenities. Bantry Bay is merely a 6-minute drive (3.1 km) via Kloof Rd, while Sea Point is just a 6-minute drive (2.0 km) via Victoria Rd/M6.

With an average annual temperature of 24°C and roughly 316 mm of rainfall, the weather is usually pleasant from January to May and August to December. June is the coolest month, averaging approximately 17°C, while January is the warmest, averaging 28°C.

While Clifton does not have its schools, nearby Camps Bay provides a variety of educational alternatives, including Camps Bay Primary and Camps Bay High School. There are also private schools such as Reddam, the French School, and Montessori. Other nearby options include Herzlia Weizmann Primary School and Phyllis Jowell Jewish Day School.

Healthcare

The area has easy access to healthcare services in the nearby Camps Bay area. You'll find Mediclinic and Netcare facilities in Cape Town that offer excellent medical care.
